Parasites are intestinal worms that feed off your cat's body. Some parasites go undetected while others cause troubling symptoms such as a distended abdomen or weight loss. Thankfully, there are many simple home remedies that can rid your feline of parasitic infections.
Garlic
Garlic is a potent tonic for killing parasites in both humans and cats. This spice flushes your feline's body of parasites by creating an inhospitable environment for worms in the digestive tract.
Garlic is also a natural antimicrobial agent, so it helps to slow the growth of bacteria. Chop up garlic cloves into tiny pieces and mash them into wet cat food to disguise the taste.
Give this to your cat every day for a few months or until the infection is clear. Wet cat food is very rich and flavorful, so your cat shouldn't have a problem eating it.
Cloves and Flaxseeds
Another home remedy for cat worms is cloves and flaxseeds. Flaxseeds are rich in fiber so they help to flush out excess waste. Cloves are herbs that actually kill parasites and their eggs. Combining both cloves and flaxseed is an excellent way to rid your feline of worms.
Mix cloves and flaxseed with wet cat food on a daily basis for at least 1 month. Check your cat's stool for parasites and stop using this remedy when the infestation is clear.

Olive Oil, Cloves and Burdock Root

Both cloves and burdock root are potent herbs used to kill parasites in both humans and animals. Olive oil helps to flush the system and cleanse the bowel. To make this remedy, mix 1/2 cup olive oil with 1 tbsp. cloves and 1 tbsp. burdock root each day.
You can then mix this up with wet cat food, or dry food if your cat doesn't mind the taste of olive oil. Continue the treatment until you don't notice parasites in your cat's stool.
